Never seen or heard of European Great Dane?
Great Danes were created in Germany about four century ago and the European Great Dane Standard is the Original! Great Danes were breed to be a Working Breed, originally called Boarhounds, and were used in boar hunting and cart pulling. Now, Great Dane are primarily companion animals or famous as a Family Guard Dog and is commonly referred to as the "Apollo of all breeds". Great Dane was appearing in a famous cartoon “Scooby Doo”.
European Great Danes have thick muscling and a heavy bone structure. They are in no way fragile as their American counterparts have become. European Great Danes are overall much healthier than American Great Danes and live to be 12-15 years old. This is because in Europe Great Dane breeding is their career and they are held to a very high standard in order to be permitted to breed. If their Danes have any health issues the dog is culled and never used in breeding. European Great Danes with long saggy jowls, big slobbery heads, floppy lips, a laid back demeanor, impeccable health, strong bone structures, huge chest and thick muscling for working. You will impress your friends, families and your neighbour with having an European Great Dane at home!
